SLIDR - Street Level Imaging & Data Review
Setting the Direction for the Mass Appraisal Industry...
Pearson's Appraisal Service and Reappraisal Inc. are pleased to present a revolutionary way to improve upon the field collection and review process of your reappraisal project. The field visit phase of the reappraisal cycle is often the most costly and requires the greatest amount of resources. Building on our years of appraisal experience and today’s industry technology, our IT professionals have developed SLIDR which produces more consistent, accurate results in less time with less people; ultimately allowing for more time to focus on market analysis, appeals, and other important phases of your reappraisal cycle.
SLIDR gives mass appraisers access to technologies that were previously only available in the office. SLIDR is a data collection and review platform that operates from customized passenger vans. Each van is staffed with three employees: a driver, a camera operator, and a certified mass appraiser. The vehicles are well marked with decals and are stocked with informational handouts for concerned citizens. The camera operator and appraiser use our Complete Appraisal Process Solution software to bring technology together to allow for a more accurate and efficient data collection/review process. Not only will your tax office see more consistency with the appraisal data, but it will also get this phase of the project done faster. With less appraisers required in the field, subjective qualities such as effective age and condition will be more consistent across your jurisdiction.
SLIDR combines GIS mapping, GPS, high quality aerial photography, customized software and your existing tax data to give the appraiser the tools that result in higher quality reappraisal work. The appraiser utilizes GIS maps to determine property boundaries, structures’ situs, and other property characteristics while the camera operator is photographing all substantial structures. GPS coordinates are automatically recorded for each structure and 911 addresses are verified. Our software also gives appraisers the power to send a traditional field appraiser to parcels which have undergone significant changes or are not accessible from the road. For sale, for rent, and realtor information can also be collected and assigned to the corresponding parcel. The end result is a comprehensive profile compiled for each parcel that is unachievable by conventional industry methods.
