What GPS Receivers are supported?

PearsonGIS supports serial, serial over USB and Bluetooth GPS receivers which are NMEA compliant.  You may also use a number of other receivers including Garmin's USB GPS if you purchase GPSGate License.  Please contact us for details.

What is PixelStore and how does it help me?

PixelStore is a method of storing Aerial Photography to make accessing aerial photography FAST!  It is a very simple, yet powerful tool for storing aerial photography in small tile slices at different zoom levels in a powerful relational database.  Unlike MrSiD format, it is completely free and can be installed and used on both a network and individual computers.

What GIS data formats are supported?

PearsonGIS includes direct support for 3rd-party spatial database layer formats: Microsoft Spatial Server, ESRI ArcSDE and ArcSDE Raster, Oracle Spatial/Locator and Oracle GeoRaster, MapInfo SpatialWare, and PostGIS.  Of course, we also support standard Shape files, MrSID and GeoTiff formats.  We also recommend utilizing PixelStore for storing aerial photography.
